January 2021: Wrap Up


And . . . the first month of 2021 is already over! Can you believe it? 😮

Already this year, some big things have happened in my life!

Writing progress in January:
  • Worked on revising Like a Warrior, including majorly polishing the first chapter. 
  • Planned about half of a novella and drafted the first 1,000 words.
  • Started Pinterest boards for a ton of characters. (Yes, I totally count this as writing progress. 😂 It's actually super helpful for character development!)
  • Journalled (in some form) several days.

    Great post Abby, sounds like a lovely month to kick off the year!!

    I've been wanting to read Thr3e by Ted Dekker for so long, so reading your review has made me want to read it even more so!! I'll have see if the library's got it or something ;)

    How fun, Abby! Janurary has been an amazing month for me, and a book that really stood out to me was "No Time On My Hands" by Grace Snyder. Such an amazing book that I instantly loved, and it is now one of my favorites! Have a great Febuary!

Like a Warrior: Update

I promised an update for my novel, Like a Warrior  - and here it is!!! * * * I finally have a timeline and roadmap for publication!!!!!! To all of my beta readers, who signed up months ago and have put up with all of my shifting timelines and long messages - thank you!!! You can expect your e-copy of LAW on or before February 19th! After that, I'll sort through beta feedback, make my revisions, send it off to an editor, and then . . .  It'll be time for a cover reveal! I'm aiming to do the cover reveal in early May, and I'll put more information about that out closer to time. After that - blog tour! I'm planning to run the blog tour from June 11th-18th.  And then, on June 18th - Publish my novel!!!! 💙 I know that's nearly five months from now, but, trust me, I have a LOT of work to do. 😂 Not only on revisions, but with publicity and marketing and such. And putting a hard date out there for the world to see . . . scares me. But it also gives me a lot  more acco...

Announcement Time!

Welcome back, y'all! So, I have several quick announcements. Here we go! As you may have noticed, I've switched my posting days - weekly posts every Thursday, posts on some Mondays. I think Thursday posts will be a lot more manageable for me than Tuesday posts. I'm starting a new ongoing blog series called "Indie Author Spotlights." As of right now, my plans are to do a quick interview and guest post with the author on a Monday. Then, that Thursday, I would give my review of some/all of their stories (depending on how many they have and I've read). I have a list of authors to contact (or that I've already contacted) personally. However, if you would like to participate in a spotlight, let me know!
