Thanks for this fun tag, Katja! Here we go!

1. How many books are you planning to read in 2021?

70! When I say that, I don't mean full-length print novels for all of them. I set my Goodreads reading goal at 70, and that includes print novels, ebooks, audiobooks, novellas, and short stories.

2. Name 5 books that you didn’t get to this year but want to make a priority in 2021.

  1. O to Be Like Thee by Kassie Angle
  2. Smoke Screen by Terri Blackstock
  3. Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason
  4. The Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff
  5. Phantom Thief by P.D. Atkerson

3. What genre do you want to read more of?

Suspense, particularly ones with law enforcement as main characters. 🤩💙

4. Name 3 non-book-related goals for 2021.

  1. Keeping up with my blog.
  2. Journalling at least a few days a week.
  3. Staying hydrated better than I have been. 

5. What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?

Hmmm . . . there are several, and I listed a few of my favorites in question #2. But . . . I'm going to say Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes.

6. One word that you’re hoping 2021 will be:

Powerful.

    Enjoyed reading this! 💙 My reading goal for this year is 121 - and I'm beginning to realize that I may have been overly ambitious when I set that goal. XD
    "Phantom Thief" is on my TBR. (I hear it's really good.) I read "O To Be Like Thee" last year, and it was amazing!

Announcement Time!

Welcome back, y'all! So, I have several quick announcements. Here we go! As you may have noticed, I've switched my posting days - weekly posts every Thursday, posts on some Mondays. I think Thursday posts will be a lot more manageable for me than Tuesday posts. I'm starting a new ongoing blog series called "Indie Author Spotlights." Fonts & Titles: Book Cover Design Crash Course - Part 1

Welcome to day one in my new three-part series!  For three Tuesdays in a row, I want to share some tips about the incredible art of designing book covers. I've spent hours and hours researching, observing, critiquing, experimenting with, stressing over, and having fun with book cover design. And I'm still not tired of it. Matter of fact, I spent hours yesterday making sample covers for this blog post, knowing full and well that there wasn't even a story to go with any of them. However, for a lot of y'all, stressing for hours over the perfect book cover probably  isn't  your idea of fun.  But that doesn't mean you get to skip doing it. I know that a lot of people will tell you that you should always  hire a professional to create your cover. And I'm not saying that isn't a good idea.  But I know that professional book covers are expensive, and that a lot of indie authors don't have a couple hundred dollars lying around to buy one. Character #2: Maverek // Blogging Schedule

 Hey! I haven't even posted since the blog tour (which was so much fun!), but I'm finally back with the next character interview and what I *hope* will be a blogging schedule I can keep up with! First off, the schedule: I'm going to try to post every Tuesday morning, with posts on Fridays sometimes. With school, writing, and life . . . who knows how often those Friday posts will come.
